EVENTS & ACTIVATIONS MANAGER

CONTRACT ROLE 12 MONTHS FROM JANUARY 2019

This is a unique opportunity to lead multiple promotional and activation events throughout Australia and New Zealand in 2019 and potentially beyond.

The events and activation manager will be responsible for the successful planning, co-ordinating & execution of a multitude of events throughout 2019 for a leading video game publisher.

The role is on a contract basis for 2019 with potential to extend beyond.

THE CANDIDATE:

We are looking for candidates that have experience in delivering multiple small to large scale events, with a proven background of delivering multiple elements of an event at any one time.

SKILLS:

As Events & Activation Manager you will need to be forward thinking, solution focussed, work well under pressure & preferably understand the target market to implement creative strategies for the success of each event.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years experience in all aspects of multiple and varied event management.

  • High level of proven time management, planning & organisational skills.

  • Ability to develop strong relationships (internal, external as well as experience managing agencies).

  • Highly organised and accurate, with flexibility to adapt to a changing environment and manage workflow and priorities to meet deadlines.

  • Proven trouble shooting experience with the ability to remain level headed under pressure.

  • An understanding of risk management and relevant experience delivering safe, secure and successful events and festivals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Your role will be varied with key responsibilities including:

  • The development of events as part of the organisations yearly marketing plans.

  • Manage & Negotiate all third-party suppliers/agencies to ensure seamless delivery of all aspects of the event.

  • Contribute to the development of creative solutions & ideas for each event.

  • Ability to brief in every area of a project including creative, print and technical.

  • Co-ordinating & managing communications with internal & external teams.

  • Working with sponsors / partnerships / stakeholders.

  • Logistics Management & full day to day operation of all events.

  • To actively build on corporate and community relationships & opportunities.

  • Development of effective relationships with the media to create promotional opportunities.

  • Supplier & merchandise management.

  • Event staffing & travel.

  • Budget management.

  • On-site management.

  • Risk management.

  • Catering.
